Started with Heart at Home and Grown with Love for Our Community.

Fifteen years ago, our journey began at home—with a desire to make healthy eating both nourishing and enjoyable for our family after our two-year-old daughter was diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes. As we explored new ways to cook, we discovered how infused olive oils and aged balsamic vinegars could transform even the simplest vegetables into something crave-worthy. Healthy didn’t have to mean bland—and our picky eater proved it.

That discovery sparked a passion that grew into The Olive Shoppe. In 2011, we left Charlotte and returned to our roots in Surfside Beach, opening our first location at Barefoot Landing in North Myrtle Beach. From there, our story continued to grow—expanding to the Historic Cotton Exchange in Wilmington, NC in 2012, and later to Market Common in Myrtle Beach in 2015.

Now celebrating 15 years as an independent, female-owned business, we are proud to be the Grand Strand’s original gourmet tasting bar. In 2025, we were honored to receive the Best of South Carolina: Health Food Store award—an achievement made possible by the loyal customers and community who have supported us every step of the way.

As we continue to grow and evolve, 2026 marks an exciting new chapter as we relocate our Market Common store to Downtown Conway, SC, allowing us to serve a growing community in a larger, more welcoming space while staying true to our roots.
